Caterers and Dessert Makers
It’s super-hits time folks! In more ways than one. Preeeesenting…our very first “Whats Hot Tasting Session” for “The Times Food Guide 2014. Kya variety hai…from pull-apart cupcake-cake to homestyle food you can heat and eat. All of it by Mumbai’s magnificent home-entrepreneurs and cheering them on is our very own bad boy with the golden heart. Gulshan Grover who spans Bollywood and Hollywood effortlessly (and loves eating in both cities) makes time from his busy schedule of four films releasing together. Our very own Bullet Raja tastes and nibbles his way through our tasting and when the girls ask him his opinion about their creations, he says “Super se ooper”. All we can say Ban gayi baat.
PANKTI AND RITA CHEDDA …HEAT TO EAT
You just have to hand it to this mother daughter duo of Pankti and Rita Chedda. And then pick up your phone and ask for their Heat 2 Eat ghar ka khana. They dehydrate (no preservatives, no nutrient loss) home cooked food like pav bhaji, biryani, dal, poha, mixed vegetables into granules which can be ready in just a jiffy by adding hot water or 5 minutes of heating in a microwave or on the stove. Must try their Pav Bhaji. Heat 2 eat is a
healthier option versus store bought ready to cook meals. Watch out for their baby and low-calorie health food by the end of this year.

Gaytri Bhatia…Organic mangoes and preserves
Oooh la la! (thanks to the gorgeous Divia Thani Daswani,) some months ago, I sank my teeth into the juiciest, pesticide-free mangoes, papayas, coconuts and vegetables. All carefully and lovingly grown by Gaytri Bhatia, a qualified environment scientist on her very own ten and a half acre Vrindavan farm, three hours away from Mumbai. Although fresh mangos are available only during the months of May through June, you must ask for mango preserve and mango with a twist (With fresh spices) one too. Ask for the 100% natural Herbal tea ( now available in Indigo Delis). Gaytri farms “in harmony with nature”, also provides a network for farmers. I applaud that.
